Core Principles

  1. Biblical Authority - We affirm that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). It is the foundation for all our beliefs, decisions, and practices as a church.
  2. Grace-Driven Transformation - Salvation is entirely by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). The gospel not only saves us but also transforms us daily. Our church culture is built on grace, not performance, as we pursue holiness and godliness (Titus 2:11-14).
  3. Gospel-Centered Discipleship - We believe discipleship is the heart of the Christian life. We are called to follow Jesus, be changed by Him, and help others do the same (Matthew 28:19-20). Discipleship at The Oaks is relational, intentional, and lifelong.
  4. Mission & Evangelism - Our mission is to make disciples who make disciples. We are called to go beyond the walls of our church, bringing the good news of Jesus to our neighbors and the nations (Acts 1:8). Evangelism is not a program but a way of life.
  5. Community & Fellowship - The church is a family, and we are called to live in biblical community. We gather to encourage, equip, and care for one another, bearing one another’s burdens (Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:24-25).
  6. Worship - Our worship is centered on glorifying God in spirit and truth (John 4:23-24). We practice baptism as a public declaration of faith and celebrate communion as a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
  7. Leadership & Governance - The church is led by biblically qualified elders (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9). These leaders shepherd the church, ensuring that everything aligns with God’s Word and the mission He has given us.

Church Practices

  1. Gather - We come together weekly to worship God, hear His Word preached, and experience His presence in a way that fosters spiritual growth and unity. Gathering is a biblical mandate that strengthens our faith and prepares us for mission.
  2. Grow - Spiritual maturity is pursued through personal and communal discipleship. This happens through small groups, men’s and women’s Bible studies, leadership development, and mentoring relationships that foster deep-rooted faith.
  3. Go - We are called to reach people with the gospel, both locally and globally. Every member is sent as an ambassador for Christ in their homes, workplaces, schools, and communities. We actively support missions and church planting efforts.
  4. Send - Multiplication is a core part of our mission. We equip and send leaders into ministry, plant churches, and support global missionaries to expand God’s kingdom.
  5. Restore - Our church is committed to restoration, engaging in acts of justice, mercy, and service to those in need. Whether through local outreach, partnerships with ministries, or social impact initiatives, we seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
